Canyons & Parkways.

We’ve left Jasper & are now in Lake Louise! We thought it was famous because of the lake but everyone else here seems to be skiing. We’re not skiing though, not yet. We’re just here for the lake (more skating!). 🙃

There’s some people playing cards on the table opposite us in the hostel & it keeps dragging my attention away from this; so this will be short (it actually will be this time) and probably not very well structured. They’re playing a game called Golf, I’ve never played but will give it a go sometime.

The drive from Jasper should take around 2hr45m, but we always take ages getting anywhere so it took us over 3hr30m. The scenery was breathtaking though & the drive was easy, so we enjoyed it. We went all along the Icefields Parkway which is pretty famous. The weather wasn’t the best for taking photos, but we tried.

Before the drive we went to Malign Canyon. It was simply beautiful, one of the top walks we’ve done. We started on the trail then scrambled down into the canyon itself (loads of people do this & it’s perfectly safe, despite the signs). We walked most of it, but did take the opportunity to slide on our bums down some natural ice slides – hehe!

We also saw some more wildlife today. Elks (again) and then some caribou. Elks are in the gallery, no pics of the caribou though.

That’s it. Now I’m going to bed as I’m shattered & have work at 6am again tomorrow. 🥱
